The upgrading of this school was predicated on its rich heritage. Keeping to the existing buildings' architectural design, the new facilities incorporate flexibility and introduce environmentally-friendly design innovations. These consist of an integrated Hall Block, a six-storey Classroom Block and upgrading of the existing Admin and Teaching Blocks.

Cross motifs, derived from Christian tradition, are integrated into the design of the windows, façade, corridor handrail, parapet, linkways, and feature column supports.
