The bus depot is part of the Singapore Land Transport Authority’s initiative to provide adequate bus parking and maintenance facilities for the latest network of commuter bus routes. Its designs include creative elements that highlight the distinctive architectural qualities without compromising on their fundamental functionalities.

A canteen, two-storey office spaces, rest areas as well as refuelling and bus wash stations are among the common features of the bus depot. A ribbon window strip stretches along the perimeter of the structure; the size and shape of the windows are varied throughout to break the linear monotony and impart a sense of dynamic change across spaces.
